Senior Creative Design Specialist , you will produce creative assets for proposals, presentations, and client‑facing materials, ensuring brand consistency across all mediums. You will also lead and mentor junior designers, manage projects, and contribute to innovative marketing solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead design efforts through all phases of development and final production of materials under the direction of a Creative Design Lead or Manager.

Plan, conceptualize, and design compelling graphics that convey complex information concisely (covers, long‑form documents, charts, maps, infographics, technical diagrams).

Manage projects, tasks, and deadlines to ensure timely and high‑quality deliverables.

Provide support on visibility communications, conferences, webinars, and industry events (digital communications, social media, email, ads, presentations).

Coordinate and manage graphic design projects for client deliverables such as branding, printed reports, online documents, outreach materials, infographics, and website assets.

Collaborate with third parties, including print vendors, photographers, and subcontractors.

Mentor and coach design team members, providing guidance and feedback.

Actively participate in kick‑off meetings, check‑ins, and final review meetings.

Share knowledge and best practices with marketing peers and technical staff.

Ensure all deliverables comply with VHB’s branding standards and maintain QA/QC standards.

Take initiative to learn about VHB’s mission, values, services, and culture.

Engage with leadership to align design strategies with organizational objectives.

Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Strong visual storytelling and problem‑solving skills.

Knowledge of digital and print design principles.

Experience in photography and video production preferred.

Interest in animation, branding, website design, wayfinding, map creation (ArcGIS), UX design, or 3D modeling also valued.

Qualifications

4–6 years of graphic design experience, preferably in an agency or A/E/C environment.

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related discipline preferred.

Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).

Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Industry affiliations such as AIGA or SEGD a plus.

Hybrid work arrangement – expected 50% in‑office.

Salary Estimated hourly rate: $36.06–$48.07 (Boston/Watertown, MA) or $30.28–$40.86 (Winooski/Montpelier, VT). Final compensation will consider qualifications, experience, and education.
