Position
Graphic Designer (2 positions) at Luki Lab, Irvine, CA.
Luki Lab is a fast-growing and innovative toy company that develops, produces and markets an exciting collection of award-winning toys and games.
At Luki Lab we see graphic design as visual storytelling that inspires, engages, and informs. We're looking for 2 very talented Graphic Designers who can take initial concepts and ideas and create stunning visual representations, in both print and electronic media.
The ideal candidates are skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable and have expert knowledge of current design software (Creative Cloud Suite). The Graphic Designers should be able to take minimal written or spoken ideas and convert them into a powerful design that connects. The successful candidates will have a thorough understanding of aesthetics and branding and be able to find the right style and layout for every project.
Responsibilities
Work independently on a wide range of projects using all Adobe Creative Suite to conceptualize and develop innovative graphic designs.
Projects include retail packaging, logos, POP displays, web and social media assets, presentations, collateral, signage, internal communications, and marketing materials.
Develop concepts via sketching or with design software and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout.
Obtain input from senior managers to ensure that designs meet quality standards.
Update and maintain internal digital assets databases.
Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials, based on best practices for using our content management system.
Required skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, illustration, or related discipline and expert level with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.).
3 or more years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a CPG company or creative studio/marketing agency.
Illustration or sketching skills highly preferred.
Attention to detail, self‑motivated, thoughtful design, hard‑working and the ability to work independently without much direction is required.
Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills with great design taste as shown by portfolio.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
A love for all things toys; a collector.
Organizational and time‑management skills for managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Photography experience and proficiency with photo‑editing software preferred.
