We’re partnering with a leading math tutoring center, to hire a
freelance Social Media Manager
to support
local marketing + community engagement
for the Grand Rapids location.
While the HQ provides national brand content, this role focuses on
bringing the Grand Rapids community to life online
— highlighting local events, partnerships, student success stories, and what makes this learning center special.
Part-time / freelance (hours vary)
Remote with
local presence required (Grand Rapids, MI)
Opportunity to
visit and tour the center
to understand programs, culture, and families served
What You’ll Do
Manage and grow social channels, focusing on Facebook + Instagram
Localize HQ-provided content for the Grand Rapids audience
Create and schedule original posts tailored to the community
Engage with families, schools, and organizations online
Optional:
PR experience is a big plus
(pitching to local media, school partnerships, event exposure, etc.)
Who We’re Looking For
Someone who understands the Grand Rapids community — ideally with school, parent, nonprofit, or local business connections
Experience running social for a family/kids/education-focused business is a bonus
Creative, enthusiastic, and great at storytelling
Perfect for a freelancer, parent-influencer, community marketer, journalist/media pro, or social-savvy creator looking for flexible work.
