Duties Support the goals and mission of the college; provide quality one-to-one and small group tutoring to students. Follow guidelines and current tutoring philosophy. Communicate with faculty, staff and coordinator/manager. Conduct small workshops as needed; audit classes as needed for tutoring purposes.
Education/Experience
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or higher in liberal arts or related required.
Bilingual in Spanish or Arabic a plus; teaching/tutoring experience preferred, but not required. Experience and proficiency in formal academic writing required (MLA, APA styles).
Qualifications Customer-service/student oriented; ability to provide inclusive feedback and support to diverse students, collaborate with other faculty and staff within the department, attentive to students’ tutoring needs, ability to utilize critical thinking skills, strong writing skills and conversational skills, research skills, proficient with computer skills (including online meeting platforms), and committed to high learning outcomes for students. Experience with linguistics or language study helpful for working with IEL students. Must be proficient at online interactive communication. Must be proficient with research skills and formal academic writing styles, including MLA and APA.

Flexible hours: MTWR 10 – 3 p.m; T/W to 7 p.m.
Evening hours for online-only M/R 6 – 9 p.m. Sun 6‑9 p.m.
Salary/Wage $16.00 (Bachelors level) $17.00 (Masters level)
