Job Description We are seeking an Architectural Designer to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This role involves creating design and construction documents, primarily for franchise and retail projects. You will work closely with senior draftsmen and project managers, contributing to various projects within our fast‑paced Franchise studio.
Responsibilities
Create design and construction documents for franchise and retail projects.
Develop construction documents based on direction from senior draftsmen or project managers.
Assist in managing job folders and project administration.
Field measure and document existing building conditions.
Ensure efficiency in meeting specific client deadlines and project goals.
Utilize AutoCAD for project drafting, with training provided in Revit as necessary.
Support CAD drafting and potentially engage in more technical project aspects.
Collaborate on projects across different departments, including Office Space, Commercial, Residential, and Hospitality.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
At least three years of experience in Architectural Drafting, CAD work, or Production work.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Experience in Retail or Commercial project work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on franchise projects, such as retail or small business.
Proficiency in Revit and SketchUp.
Experience with PowerPoint, Illustrator, and/or Photoshop.
Work Environment Our office is based in Royal Oak, MI, offering a fast‑paced, collaborative, and energetic atmosphere. Office hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, with half‑days on Fridays. We maintain a family‑friendly environment and prioritize work‑life balance. The office is conveniently located close to downtown, providing a vibrant work setting. As a boutique architectural firm, we offer a variety of project types ranging from high‑end residential to commercial. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Royal Oak, MI.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 – $35.00 /hr.
