Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer - Jacksonville, FL
Halff is seeking a Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer to join our growing multi‑disciplined Planning & Landscape Architecture team in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate would have at least 1–3 years of experience working on parks, recreation and trail planning and design; urban park, plaza, streetscape and transportation enhancements; land development; and support for large‑scale planning projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment to help clients plan, design and implement projects. What you will do
Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of landscape architects, planners, engineers, and others to provide management on a wide variety of public and private landscape architecture and planning projects.
Work with design teams and consultants through all design stages from concept through construction.
Foster and promote a positive, team‑oriented environment and office culture.
Production of CD sets including hardscape, planting, construction details, specifications, and bidding packages.
Construction methodologies and implementation.
Manage multiple projects of various scale and complexity simultaneously.
Anticipate the needs of clients and projects.
Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to lead projects while meeting deadlines and budget requirements preferred.
What you will need
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university.
At least 1 year of experience in Landscape Architecture.
Familiarity preparing proposal/scope of work documents and reviewing invoices/submitting.
Ability to travel periodically, primarily in state, to support project needs.
Proficiency with computer applications including AutoCAD, Land F/X, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Well organized, detail oriented and highly motivated.
Experience in master planning of parks, trails, and recreation is a plus.
Excellent design skills.
