Salary Range $57,900 - $81,000
Note for Salary This is the range within which SRNS expects the majority of qualified candidates would enter this role if offered. Actual offers may be more or less than the amounts shown depending on candidate's qualifications, experience, internal equity, and other factors.
Job Family Description Procedures personnel develop and document procedures and electronic rounds (eRounds) for program and facility operations using organizational processes and software. They ensure procedures include flow down of requirements from Department of Energy Orders, federal regulations, and consensus codes and standards to comply with contractual requirements.
Discipline Description Technical editors write and review documentation for technical products, systems, processes, equipment operations and maintenance, research findings, etc. for internal or external audiences. They determine an effective structure and layout for complex manuals and other technical documentation, conduct research and liaise with technical staff to ensure accurate interpretation of complex technical data, drawings, and specification. They ensure appropriate technical content and terminology review occurs and that provision is made for the incorporation of updates and revisions. They edit content to improve clarity, impact, flow, meaning, and readability.
Responsibilities The Technical Editor is responsible for writing and editing multiple reports and documents associated with SRS mission performance. This includes, but is not limited to, site‑wide performance self‑assessments, program technical documents and presentations, and reporting to the customer. The technical editor must be able to comprehend complex technologies and ideas and translate them into impactful reports for a variety of audiences. They must be able to work independently, identify trends, establish positive working relationships, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field
Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
