Technical Writer II / Senior (On-site) Contract duration:

approx. 6 months + possibility of extension/conversion to permanent role What You'll Do:

Creating and revising technical documentation such as product descriptions, operating procedures, maintenance and repair procedures, illustrated parts breakdowns, reports, proposals, and marketing materials Ensuring compliance with customer requirements, government specifications, engineering standards, and language principles Researching and consulting with engineering staff on systems and equipment to generate documentation Analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings and technical data for clarity and usability Validating written procedures for equipment and incorporating feedback Evaluating, requesting, and integrating illustrations and graphics into technical materials Providing input into time and cost estimates for projects and supporting documentation design Maintaining current knowledge of industry trends and publishing practices Ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with safety policies Skills required:

Working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electronics, and system operations to support documentation development Proficiency with publication software and XML authoring tools such as Arbortext Epic Editor or Oxygen Strong command of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Access a plus) Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Professional or similar PDF markup tools Ability to translate engineering designs into clear, user-friendly documentation while retaining accuracy Experience with content management systems is a plus Ability to evaluate and incorporate illustrations and graphics effectively Mechanical, electrical, or operator tech writing experience, preferably in the defense industry Familiarity with military and commercial standards and interactive electronic technical manual functionality is preferred Education and experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience plus 2 (for TW II) or 5 (for TW Sr) additional years of relevant experience Defense industry experience preferred; automotive industry experience a plus Benefits:
