DATA ANALYST – MARKETING at Seminole Hard Rock Support Services – Davie, FL
Overview This position is responsible for performing financial, operational, and technical ad‑hoc analyses for Marketing within both Seminole Gaming (SGA) and Hard Rock International (HRI) organizations. The role focuses on using data and technical skills to improve marketing performance operationally and financially.
Responsibilities
Reports directly to the Director of Marketing Strategy & Analytics.
Assists in expanding the internal Tableau skillset to increase dashboards—including Tableau Pulse—data alerts for internal business users, and enables Tableau’s AI infrastructure.
Uses SQL and other data aggregation tools to collect data from various databases, develop recurring reports, and perform ad‑hoc analysis upon request.
Develops daily, weekly, and monthly reporting across multiple departments and properties within Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock enterprise.
Communicates findings to key stakeholders, seeks their support, and keeps them informed of changes that may impact the business.
Manages multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, proactively identifying opportunities to improve analysis and maintaining positive team morale.
Prioritizes projects to balance support of broad initiatives, reporting, and ad‑hoc analysis.
Has a firm understanding of gaming offers, direct marketing, and casino guest loyalty, interpreting analysis results and recommending changes to marketing strategy.
Verifies results to ensure reporting accuracy.
Qualifications Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or Business Management; additional BI certifications are a plus.
Requires 3+ years of related experience as a business or financial analyst, preferably in the casino hotel industry.
Experience with BI tools such as SQL, Oracle, Tableau, Excel, and Salesforce is preferred.
Additional Requirements
Strong quantitative and analytic skills with a track record in financial analysis, direct marketing, consulting, IT, statistical analytics, forecasting techniques, marketing studies, and optimization analytics.
Demonstrated success working with extensive data sets, developing tools for streamlined analysis, and creating concise reports that summarize complex concepts.
Ability to communicate analytical findings, conclusions, and recommendations to business, operating, and marketing constituents.
Actively assists in the implementation of accepted recommendations.
Maintains a professional demeanor with business partners and develops productive relationships with co‑workers.
Communicates effectively with all levels of management.
Exhibits conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
Work Environment Duties are typically performed in a professional office setting. Occasionally, the role may require presence on the casino floor, exposing the employee to casino‑related environmental factors such as secondhand smoke and excessive noise.
