Responsibilities

Lead the complete industrial design process for IoT and consumer technology products, taking concepts from initial sketches through to full-scale production.

Partner closely with mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineering teams to ensure design intent aligns with hardware requirements, including PCB layouts, antenna positioning, and sensor integration.

Create production-ready CAD models, exploded views, and precise technical documentation to guide manufacturing.

Specify materials, finishes, and manufacturing methods that deliver the right balance of quality, cost efficiency, durability, and optimal wireless performance (e.g., plastics selected for Bluetooth/Wi-Fi transparency).

Apply best practices in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) for both high-volume products and limited-edition premium releases.

Oversee prototyping, tooling development, pilot production, and field testing to confirm design quality and performance benchmarks.

Collaborate with manufacturing partners to improve yield rates and resolve challenges related to electronics assembly, housing fit, and CMF (color, material, finish) consistency.
