Process Mechanical Designer (remote allowed) Brown and Caldwell (BC) offers an exciting opportunity for a Process Mechanical Designer to join our team. The role focuses on multi‑discipline designs primarily for the water and wastewater industries.

Remote work is allowed, though in‑person/hybrid is preferred.

Job Description Under the direction of senior process mechanical designers, you will develop designs in BIM documents utilizing Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit software. Your responsibilities include:

Execute work on wastewater, water utilities, and industrial facilities including treatment plant, pumping station, and bio‑system facility planning and design.

Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications through field inspection and testing.

Assist with the preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.

Assist with studies, permitting, and alternative analysis.

Perform field activities such as site investigations.

Minimum Qualifications

6 years of experience in municipal and/or industrial projects.

Experience using AutoCAD.

Experience using Revit.

Knowledge of Piping and Instrumentation Drawing design (piping, appurtenances, hangers, instrumentation and control) and mechanical drawing design.

Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and verbally.

High level of communication and strong writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Open Plant.

Experience with Water and Wastewater.

Experience in 3D modeling, BIM design, drawing production, and associated workflows.

Salary Range The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may vary depending on skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
