Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in film, drama/theater arts or mass communication OR Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND Master's degree in media studies, English or communication OR the equivalent This position is a part‑time faculty teaching assignment with the following salary rates: Part‑Time/Adjunct Salary Schedule (Download PDF reader). Degree and years of acceptable teaching experience determine step placement. Offer and acceptance of employment is subject to verification of all information provided on the employment application, credentials, transcripts, LiveScan, and tuberculosis examination as required. Verification of prior employment (teaching or work experience) may be needed to determine minimum qualifications met. Equivalency Information Foreign transcript evaluation is required any time foreign coursework is used to meet minimum qualifications and/or salary placement even if the foreign transcript has been accepted by a U.S. college. A foreign transcript evaluation may be obtained through services such as World Education Services or Educational Credential Evaluators. Compensation Placement on the District's Faculty Salary Schedule is dependent upon years of experience and level of education. Entry‑level is from $77.44 per hour (Lecture Rate) to $98.98 per hour (Lecture Rate) at time of employment. Employees are also members of the STRS. Sick leave and other leaves are governed by the collective bargaining agreement.
