We value high-energy, in-office collaboration and rapid execution. We are seeking a proven marketing leader to own and scale all marketing functions and play a pivotal role in Spire's next chapter of hyper-growth. This role is based in our Dallas office.

The Opportunity: A Strategic and Hands-On Leader

As the VP of Marketing, you will be the most senior marketing executive, responsible for defining, leading, and executing Spire's entire brand, content, and demand generation strategy. This is a crucial role for a leader who is equally comfortable setting the 3-year vision, managing a growing team, and personally diving into campaign execution and data analysis when needed.

This leader will be accountable for dramatically increasing Spire's brand equity, driving qualified enterprise lead generation, and, uniquely, leveraging payment transaction data to build co-branded, high-impact marketing services for our merchant customers.

Core Responsibilities & Areas of Ownership

1. Data-Driven Marketing & Merchant Co-Marketing

This is a critical, high-impact area requiring a blend of marketing and quantitative expertise.

  • Establish Data Science Marketing Function: Lead the initiative to leverage deep payment transaction data to derive actionable consumer insights for our merchant customers.
  • Develop Co-Marketing Products: Design and implement innovative, data-driven marketing campaigns (e.g., personalized offers, loyalty triggers) that Spire executes on behalf of its enterprise merchants to their consumers, driving transaction volume and loyalty.
  • Own the Full-Funnel: Be directly responsible for establishing, executing, and measuring these consumer-facing campaigns, demonstrating a clear ROI for merchants and driving increased adoption of the Spire payment type.
  • Quantitative Leadership: Apply strong analytical and data science fluency to measure campaign performance, predict outcomes, and continuously refine targeting and strategy.

2. Brand Strategy & Content Leadership
  • Champion Spire's Brand: Evolve and enforce a clear, compelling brand narrative, positioning Spire as the innovative leader in B2B Fintech payments.
  • Website & Digital Presence Ownership: Oversee and implement continuous improvements to Spire's website (content, design, UX) to maximize lead capture, conversion, and thought leadership.
  • Content Strategy & Production: Own the editorial calendar and pipeline for all thought leadership assets, including white papers, executive blogs, case studies, and compelling sales collateral (e.g., presentations, short-form videos).

3. Demand Generation & Performance Marketing
  • Lead Generation Strategy: Design and manage the overarching B2B demand generation strategy to consistently deliver high-quality, qualified leads to the Sales team.
  • Digital Advertising Mastery: Direct and optimize all paid media efforts (Google Ads, LinkedIn, etc.) to ensure maximum ROI and efficient funnel progression.
  • LinkedIn & Social Strategy: Own the complete strategy for LinkedIn and other key social channels, ensuring high-impact engagement, executive-level thought leadership, and strong conversion paths.

4. Events, Partnerships & Executive Engagement
  • Executive Event Strategy: Architect and execute a high-touch customer and prospect event strategy, including exclusive executive dinners, educational roundtables, and high-value customer advisory board meetings.
  • Industry Conference Leadership: Select, negotiate, and manage Spire's presence at key payments industry conferences, securing premium sponsorships and speaking slots to maximize brand exposure and lead capture.
  • Swag & Promotional Strategy: Develop and manage a refined brand engagement and promotional strategy that aligns with our premium brand image and executive-level audience.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role (Director/VP) within a B2B, Fintech, or complex SaaS environment.
  • Proven hands-on experience in Data-Driven Marketing, including a strong foundational understanding of data science methodologies, SQL, and/or advanced analytics applied to marketing segmentation and campaign attribution.
  • Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and managing a high-performing marketing team, including mentoring and developing junior talent.
  • Deep expertise across the full marketing stack: SEO, paid media, website CMS/analytics (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot, Google Analytics), and CRM platforms.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of creating high-quality, executive-level content.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently (estimated 20-30%) for industry events, conferences, and customer engagements.
