This volunteer opportunity is provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro‑bono connections.

We’re looking for an experienced Grant Writer who can both research and write grants and mentor a small internal team of volunteer writers (about three people total) for the duration of this project. Ideal candidates enjoy thinking strategically and practically and are comfortable leading a committed team.

• Write and edit proposals tailored to various funders.

You’ll work closely with our Executive Director and have access to past grant materials, organizational priorities, and in‑progress proposals. We’ll provide structure, coordinate team calls, and ensure your time is spent on the highest‑value work, not hunting down information. The team is motivated and grateful for leadership support. You’ll have space to shape direction and flexibility to work in a way that suits your availability.
