Berea, OH $42,000.00–$58,000.00 1 month ago Job Title Associate Videographer / Editor / Motion Overview shark&minnow is seeking an entry-level Associate Videographer, Editor and Producer to join our fast‑growing team. We are a strategy and design consultancy whose purpose is to serve as a catalyst for change in business and marketing and a disruptive force in creativity and innovation. We make the complex simple. We are looking for a visual media producer with strong skills and a passion for storytelling via high‑quality video content. This individual will shoot, edit and deliver content, commercials, social media, behind‑the‑scenes features, etc. The role supports day‑to‑day management and execution of all video produced by our Design and Content departments. You will be creating and coordinating the execution of all video projects, working with a team of creative professionals dedicated to creating impactful content for our clients. As part of a consultancy that is growing, this person must demonstrate a collaborative working style, great communication skills, a sense of inward motivation and urgency as well as the ability to thrive in a non‑corporate environment focused on innovation. This position requires a creative talent with a proven ability to build marketing systems. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (e.g. Film, Television, Broadcast, Audio, Media, Motion & Sound or similar) Less than three (3) years of video experience Thorough knowledge of the entire production workflow, including pre‑production, audio and video recording, lighting, studio environments, editing, and content delivery Experience with industry‑leading camera systems and workflows Experience with interchangeable lens cameras Experience with advanced camera support systems including sliders and gimbals Experience with shooting video in a cinematic style Experience shooting photography (e.g. headshots, lifestyle) Experience with professional lighting, grip and audio equipment Must demonstrate strong and fluent editorial techniques through proper timing, pacing, organization, and asset management as well as command in music and sound editing Experience with non‑linear editing systems (e.g. Premiere, Final Cut) Experience with motion graphics programs (e.g. After Effects) Experience with audio programs (e.g. ProTools) Experience with design programs (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign) Experience with 3D rendering programs a plus Strong understanding of the latest video compression techniques for web Understanding of social media systems (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and video platforms (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) Be self‑directed toward excellent work outcomes Excellent discretion & professionalism, demonstrating sound judgment Must submit a strong portfolio or demo reel showing a variety of video content that clearly demonstrates capabilities (please include link in resume or cover letter) Ability to travel occasionally Roles & Responsibilities Video Content: You are a passionate visual storyteller and are proficient in shooting, editing and delivering high‑quality video content, extensive behind‑the‑scenes content, innovative social media content, persuasive broadcast commercials, engaging digital ads (e.g. YouTube, Facebook or Instagram ads), high‑energy brand anthem and sizzle videos. Design Aesthetic and Style: You have the ability to recognize great. You know the difference between “good” and “great” and are able to work through team dynamics, clients and timelines to defend great work. Conceptual Thinking: You are able to originate creative ideas and translate across marketing systems. Constant development of skills and exploration of new creative techniques. Teamwork: You can work in a participatory, team‑based environment, enjoy supporting and inspiring teams through collaboration in a culture built on mutual respect; all employees help shape our consultancy and culture, with regular and spontaneous get‑togethers. Communication: Exceptional, open and fluid written and verbal style. Prototyping: Ready to learn from failure, embrace an iterative process and understand that success comes sooner with trial and error.
