Senior AI Data Scientist – Animation

Responsibilities
- Build, fine‑tune and implement AI and machine‑learning models to solve challenging problems within the animation space.
- Ensure AI and machine‑learning production pipelines are scalable, repeatable, and tool‑agnostic.
- Apply current and emerging techniques in deep learning, natural language processing, and other ML areas to expand the animation domain.
- Collect, clean, manage, analyze and visualize large sets of data using multiple platforms and tools.
- Work in partnership with game teams to integrate AI solutions into products and services.
- Optimize and fine‑tune AI models for performance and scalability; analyze and interpret data to produce actionable insights.
- Document and present findings and solutions to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in data science.
- Minimum 1+ year of experience working in the animation space or general AI/ML.
- PhD or MSc in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in deep learning and fluency in Python and SQL.
- Experience automating ML models and building end‑to‑end ML pipelines.
- Experience with DevOps tools and principles (Git, CI/CD, Docker).
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Optional: C++ and game‑engine experience, and interest in animation.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay ranges (current posting):
- California (Los G. vs. San Francisco) $160,600 – $249,300 USD
- British Columbia $138,700 – $199,900 CAD
- Washington $149,200 – $205,500 USD
Benefits include paid time off (3 weeks/year), sick time (80 hrs/year), paid company holidays (16 days/year), parental leave (10‑week paid), health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k) and potential equity/bonus for qualifying roles.
