Broadcast Technician – Centennial, CO

Our client, a global broadcast media and entertainment company, is actively looking for a Broadcast Technician to join their team in Centennial, CO! This role is fully onsite so local candidates are required.

***This role is a 6 month initial contract with the opportunity to extend or convert for 4 10 hour shifts throughout the week. There are morning, swing, and overnight shifts available and candidates must be flexible with what hours they're open to in case additional coverage is needed.***

Responsibilities

  • Support current on‑air operations team during the division’s major systems migration in 2026 (including programming quality control, commercial rehearsals, event preparation, shadowing on‑air programming, monitoring on‑air programming, and break support for other MCOs).
  • Maintain and manipulate on‑air playlists, execute program/commercial/marketing changes, and support live‑event and contingency workflows using cutting‑edge software like SNELL Morpheus and Amagi.
  • Take ownership of commercial integration, ensuring flawless rolling of commercial breaks during both taped and live programming.
  • Contribute to the team which collectively monitors and maintains 150+ channel streams, ensuring continuous availability and identifying any inconsistencies with keen attention to detail.
  • Guarantee the continuity of programming by meticulously confirming the readiness of every piece of material for on‑air playout.
  • Act as the last line of defense for internal clients and stations, swiftly responding to any on‑air discrepancies with situational awareness and quick decision‑making skills.
  • Protect our airwaves by meticulously simulating the viewer experience, constantly checking for proper audio, video, captioning, and picture quality.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A High School Diploma and relevant certification or Associate's Degree in Media or Communications, or equivalent professional experience in broadcast, digital, or post production role.
  • A solid understanding of television production, broadcast operations, and/or news/sports/entertainment technical production requirements.
  • Must be willing and available if needed to work other shifts including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of a 24x7/365 operation, with possibility of schedule changes based on business needs and priorities.
  • Fluency or proficiency in Spanish is a big plus (but not required).
