POSITION SUMMARY
The Junior Digital Graphic Designer at Bass Pro Shops supports the creation of engaging, on-brand content for digital channels including homepages, emails, site assets, and social media. This role focuses on designing and optimizing visuals that enhance user experience, follow design standards, and drive engagement across platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for layout, color, and typography, with an understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and digital production workflows. They collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and align with both creative and performance goals. An online portfolio showcasing design expertise and digital awareness is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Creative Design – 70%
- Assist in the design and execution of promotional creative, including homepages, emails, paid social, and display ads.
- Collaborate on the development of digital concepts across multiple marketing channels.
- Design within the established brand aesthetic to ensure a consistent look and feel across layout, typography, color, and graphics.
- Support the preparation of mock‑ups and prototypes for internal creative reviews.
- Stay current on digital design trends, emerging tools, and best practices
Creative Execution Support – 25%
- Work with HTML and CSS within internal content management systems (CMS) to execute creative deliverables.
- Adapt and extend existing creative assets for additional site placements, display ads, and email campaigns
All Other Duties as Assigned – 5%
- Provide general support for internal digital creative needs and ad‑hoc projects as required.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Degree Required: Associate Degree in Web design, Graphic design or related field
- Preferred Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Web design, Graphic design or related field
- Certificate(s) or License(s):
- Experience: 0 – 1 years
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY
- Passion for digital design with strong attention to detail and a desire to learn and grow.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Figma for digital design and collaboration.
- Basic understanding of coding (HTML and CSS); familiarity with JavaScript is a plus.
- Strong eye for layout, typography, color, and imagery, with the ability to maintain consistency across digital platforms.
- Ability to design within established brand guidelines while contributing fresh, creative ideas.
- Understanding of responsive web design, UI/UX principles, and accessibility standards.
- Familiar with image optimization, file organization, and preparing assets for production.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
- Receptive to feedback and creative direction, maintaining a positive, solutions‑oriented attitude.
- Strong time‑management skills and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Proactive and adaptable, with enthusiasm for learning new tools, techniques, and digital trends.
