Job Overview

Coloff Media’s KLKK FM/KSMA FM in Mason City are looking for a News Director/Local Content Creator to provide live and local news coverage for our radio stations and community website. Office Location: Mason City, Iowa

Responsibilities

• Producing and broadcasting daily newscasts
• Covering local news stories
• Maintaining online presence
• Conducting on‑air interviews, live remotes of community events, and other events and activities
• Additional sports play‑by‑play and/or program management duties (may be available)

Qualifications & Expectations

• Intense interest in community events and activities, goal of providing consistent and accurate radio, website and video coverage
• Prior broadcast experience preferred; general writing and journalism experience most beneficial
• Well‑rounded broadcast background in on‑air content, live broadcasts, show hosting, commercial production
• Proven experience leading a broadcast staff (required for program management duties)
• Family‑friendly work environment, locally‑owned, stable company, supporting local community
