Library Assistant, East Brookfield Public Library (East Brookfield)

10-12 hours a week, with additional opportunities, usually 4 hour shifts, NOT Mother's Hours.

The library is currently seeking a part-time library assistant to assist patrons of all ages with a wide range of library services.

Responsibilities include:

• Helping patrons over the phone, in person, and via email.
• Circulation duties: checking materials in and out, library card registration, collecting fees, collecting book drop, completing hold lists.
• Providing reader’s advisory, shelving, creating displays.
• Computer troubleshooting and basic guidance on using digital services.
• Performing opening and closing duties.

Qualifications

Customer service experience; capable of learning how to shelve library materials, answering the phone, checking out materials, and assisting patrons while using time wisely. NOT Mother's Hours.
