MGSA – Department of Art & Design – Spring 2026

Position for part‑time instructional and academic support in undergraduate and graduate courses. Successful applicants will staff courses in a demonstrated specialization content area; the majority of appointments are located in Downtown New Brunswick and sculpture appointments in Piscataway.

Salary & Benefits

Minimum: $2,777 per credit. Final salary determined by qualifications, experience, and department or grant funds. Qualifications

• Master of Fine Arts or equivalent in the area of practice.
• At least one year of relevant teaching experience.
• Strong pedagogical, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate‑level teaching experience.
• Faculty mentorship or curriculum development experience.
• Proficiency with studio equipment and technology.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the assigned specialization.
• Prepare and deliver instruction, including the development of course materials and assessments.
• Grade assignments and provide feedback to students.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in departmental committees.
• Assist in curriculum development and course evaluation.
• Maintain studio or lab environments as required.
