Qualifications:

  • Education: 5 years with a BS/BA or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Clearance: active Secret Clearance
  • Experience with documentation of DOD system
  • Experience gathering and analyzing data to determine system requirements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with software modeling tools (e.g., DODAF/UML/SysML): Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience with the design to containerize legacy capabilities and creation of new container capabilities: Docker is highly desirable
  • Experience with documentation of C2P system

Peraton is seeking a Tech Writer to support our Common Data Link Management System (CDLMS) Software Engineering Support contract. This position is based at the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) facility in San Diego, CA.

As a Tech Writer you will be supporting one of several sprints within the C2P functions. This position will involve maintaining and implementing new capabilities (ECPs) into the RSCP test tool, System Host. The selected candidate will develop scenarios for Host stimulus and also use a data reduction tool to analyze data between C2P and RSCP.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Develops, writes and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instructions books, catalogs and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment
  • Observes production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail. Interviews production and engineering personnel and reads journals, reports, and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods
  • Supporting the integration of, and transition to new hardware and software systems for Tactical Data Links
  • Support CDLMS HMI on troubleshoot TORs, TR fixes, incorporate new ECP requirements, and new capabilities upgrades
