Summary
Catholic Charities of Acadiana is seeking a highly experienced, mission-driven Graphic Design professional-someone who can blend technical excellence with a deep understanding of Catholic identity, charitable service, and the dignity of the human person. In this role, you will be the visual and creative steward of our brand. You will design with purpose, communicate with compassion, and ensure that every piece of content-print, digital, photo, or web-reflects our Catholic mission and invites the community into meaningful engagement with the people we serve. Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design + Brand Stewardship
Lead the design and production of all print and digital materials (brochures, impact reports, fundraising collateral, signage, event branding, parish-facing materials, etc.)
Translate Catholic Charities' mission, values, and Catholic social teaching into compelling, respectful, and mission-aligned visual communication
Create and manage brand guidelines, design templates, typography, color systems, and asset libraries
Deliver polished, print-ready files and high-quality digital assets
Ensure brand consistency and cohesiveness across all platforms, programs, and initiatives
Mission-Grounded Storytelling
Produce visual narratives that reflect our Catholic identity, highlight the sacred dignity of those we serve, and inspire community engagement
Serve as the in-house photographer for events, programs, and storytelling needs
Curate and manage a high-quality photo library rooted in authenticity and respect
Social Media & Digital Content
Develop on‑brand social media content that aligns with program, development, and mission priorities
Create visually strong posts, graphics, and short‑form videos
Track engagement analytics and recommend improvements
Website Management
Keep the website updated, visually aligned with brand standards, and accessible
Build campaign and event landing pages with strong narrative flow and UX
Coordinate improvements or troubleshooting with external web vendors
Cross‑Team Collaboration
Work across departments to fulfill design and communication needs
Support fundraising, events, stewardship, and program teams with responsive, high‑quality design
Contribute to broader organizational communication strategies
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts, Design, Communications, or related field
3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
Video production/editing skills a plus
Detail‑oriented with excellent time and project management skills
Experience managing vendors and print production timelines
Job Specifications
Medium: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 100% of the time.
