Job Description Be part of a dynamic team making an impact as the Digital Media Manager for the YMCA of Greenville. The YMCA of Greenville is a dynamic and rapidly growing association that seeks to strengthen the community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Digital Media Manager supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This position will work closely with the VP of Marketing, Graphic Designer, YMCA of Greenville association leadership staff, as well as key leadership from branch locations, to advance the Y message and brand. The Digital Media Coordinator will manage and create content for all digital media platforms, the Y’s website and other digital properties and will support communication and advertising initiatives. The manager’s expertise in digital media creation and social media management will enhance the organization’s ability to successfully deliver our promise: to strengthen the foundations of our community.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or significant related experience in Communications, Marketing, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

At least three (3) years of professional experience with a background in website and social media content management, digital communications.

Expertise in creating innovative and compelling print and digital collateral with basic knowledge of graphic design.

Experience in videography, photography, lighting, and audio is a plus.

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects or other compatible digital editing software.

Prior experience with content management systems, preferably Drupal or WordPress.

Knowledge and basic understanding of HTML and CSS.

Experience and proficiency in communication and organizational software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Exceptional communication skills, with strong editing and proofreading abilities.

Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to take initiative and respond to a variety of situations and manage several tasks and projects at the same time.

Ability to prioritize assignments so that deadlines are met, and projects are completed in a timely manner.

Demonstrated ability to enhance processes and improve service delivery.

Possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and capacity to work in fast-paced environment.

Ability to juggle and meet multiple deadlines, prioritizing projects.

Essential Functions

Develop, coordinate, and implement plans and tactics for digital marketing/communications in alignment with the association’s strategic goals.

Serve as a liaison between branch staff and Marketing team to develop tactical marketing plans to promote programs, activities, and events.

Work closely with Marketing and Development teams to gather and produce mission-oriented stories, report current association news, and generate Annual Campaign collateral.

Produce weekly e-newsletter and other program and branch specific email communications.

Manage social media feeds for the association, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, using applications such as Sprout or Hootsuite.

Capture stories and edit photos/video on-location as needed at functions, events, and programs across the association.

Occasionally present and mentor staff on best practices for digital communications.

Maintain an updated library of photos, video, and digital media.

Maintain the organization’s websites, mobile apps, and virtual video library platforms.

Review and approve digital and print collateral for Y-USA brand compliance.
