The Opportunity: Sephora is seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Social Media Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping and amplifying Sephora's social media presence. In this role, you will transform complex social data into clear, actionable insights, informing strategic, brand, and cultural initiatives. You will also collaborate with the Social Media Manager in overseeing the social media budget and forecasting.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of the cultural landscape, a passion for deciphering large datasets to construct compelling narratives, and the ability to translate these insights into engaging and easily understandable data presentations as well as budget forecasts.
Responsibilities:
Analyze data across multiple social media and reporting platforms to evaluate campaign effectiveness, monitor engagement metrics, and gain a deep understanding of audience behavior.
Generate comprehensive weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports on social media performance, emphasizing key insights, trends, and areas for optimization, and present findings to key stakeholders.
Collaborate with the Social Media Manager on social media budget management, including resource allocation for content creation and influencer partnerships, ensuring expenditures are aligned with overall marketing objectives.
Develop data-driven forecasts based on historical performance to guide future budget allocations and campaign strategies.
Partner with social media team members to recommend data-informed adjustments to campaigns and content strategies, ensuring efficient and effective resource utilization.
Utilize analytics tools and software to meticulously track social media metrics and performance, while staying ahead of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Provide guidance and training to team members on interpreting analytics and leveraging data to drive sound social media decisions.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in social media analytics; budget management experience is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience with social media analytics tools (Primary:
Dash Hudson, Listenfirst, Tribe ) and (Secondary:
Creator IQ, Brand Bastion, Brand Watch, and Tubebuddy )
Solid Understanding of social media reporting best practices.
Excellent research, writing, and presentation skills – with the ability to present data in an accessible and engaging manner.
A demonstrable passion for
social media
and its evolving trends.
Proficiency in
Excel
and other

The annual base salary range for this position is $86,955.00- $97,185.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
