About the Role
As a Commercial Insurance Marketer for a large independent insurance broker in Chicago, you are responsible for new and renewal placement activities. You consult with and support client service and sales teams on critical account issues, looking at ways to develop creative strategies and seek out the most comprehensive and competitive options to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Duties & Responsibilities As an experienced commercial insurance professional, you will:
Build
insurance programs, reviewing current insurance programs- deductibles, losses, exposures, etc. Conduct market research and partner closely with underwriters to present a case that will lead to favorable terms, conditions, and rates.
Evaluate
claims data, pricing trends, and coverage enhancements to compose the best possible, most comprehensive insurance program for clients.
Provide
market insight to internal sales and service teams with creative ideas to access competitive markets and structure programs for larger commercial accounts with complex risk portfolios.
Strengthen
relationships with underwriters and insurance company representatives. Possess a working knowledge of the underwriting appetites for key partners, both standard and E&S carriers.
Skills & Experience
At least seven (7) years of commercial property and casualty insurance experience with significant time dedicated to marketing and placement activities.
Requires a well-rounded commercial property and casualty background with full knowledge of Illinois insurance rates, laws, and market trends.
