Job Summary The primary responsibility is to provide support and complete specified game‑day operational functions and tasks. Game‑Day Specialized Operations Assistant may support different functions depending on the need for the assigned game.
Responsibilities
Completes operational functions and tasks assigned for each game, depending on game‑day needs which may include: photography, camera operator, statistician, etc.
Adheres to all university, NCAA, and conference policies, rules, and regulations, particularly as they relate to the support of athletic events.
Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience None.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of athletic equipment handling and facility maintenance.
First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Educational Qualifications Some college coursework or an undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.
Preferred Experience Prior experience in event support, athletics, or customer service.
Abilities / Skills
Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the event schedule.
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem‑solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills.
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite).
Strong attention to detail and follow‑up skills.
Strong customer service skills and phone and e‑mail etiquette.
