We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive individual to join a collaborative and close-knit team as a Senior Media Planner.

In the role of the Senior Media Planner, you will lead the development of strategic, multi-channel media plans that drive performance for automotive retail clients. You’ll translate audience insights, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence into clear, data-informed recommendations while partnering closely with creative, analytics, and buying teams.

What You’ll Do

Develop comprehensive, multi-channel media plans across Broadcast TV, Cable, Addressable TV, OTT/CTV, OOH, Terrestrial Radio, Streaming Audio/Video, and Digital channels.

Build full-funnel automotive strategies aligned with OEM, LMA, and iMR guidelines.

Provide comprehensive POVs on media opportunities, competitive insights, market conditions, platform offerings, new technologies, and audience dynamics.

Evaluate and negotiate sponsorship packages, including sports, lifestyle, events, and premium opportunities.

Create hyper-local market planning strategies tailored to unique DMAs, competitive pressures, and consumer dynamics.

Lead audience segmentation planning, identifying core, conquest, loyalty, EV shoppers, in-market shoppers, and multicultural audiences.

Collaborate closely with creative teams to ensure messaging and assets align with audience insights and placement strategy.

Work with digital analytics partners to integrate measurement insights and unify offline + digital strategies.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date flowcharts and manage budgets.

Prepare buy specifications for the media team and work closely with them to obtain accurate market costs and inventory availability.

Own traffic deadlines with the assistance of the traffic coordinator and gather creative specifications across all channels to ensure timely delivery and accurate execution.

Support in-flight stewardship through pacing checks, added-value reviews, delivery updates, and optimization recommendations.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum 5+ years as a Media Planner, with automotive retail planning experience a plus.

Highly strategic with demonstrated expertise in hyper-local market planning and DMA level nuance.

Strong proficiency in audience segmentation, data interpretation, and insight development.

Experience conducting in-depth competitive analysis and translating findings into strategy.

Comfortable being client-facing and presenting complex media plans in a clear and confident manner.

Proficiency in key planning and research tools, including Resonate, MiQ, Strata/Freewheel, S-Traffic, Nielsen Ad Intel, SQAD, Nielsen Ratings/Comscore & Local TV Tools, Scarborough, MRI-Simmons.

Strong understanding of GRPs, CPM/CPP, ratings, reach/frequency, impressions, audience targeting, and media math.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and pivot quickly.

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple markets simultaneously.
