Major goals and objectives.

This role administers many of the daily tasks of Agriculture.com, including updating the homepage, sending the newsletter, editing short videos, and posting to social media. It is responsible for writing original articles on breaking news and new farm equipment for Agriculture.com and for posting freelance and partner articles to the website.

Essential Job Functions

30% - Covering news for Agriculture.com, including writing articles, coordinating with the news and editorial team, and reporting on new equipment launches. The individual must react quickly to news and write articles with a short turnaround.

40% - Executing on news distribution, including updating the homepage, posting to social media, producing social media videos, and sending the daily newsletter. This includes following best practices and using analytics to guide day‑to‑day decisions.

15% - Coordinating posting of freelance and partner articles to Agriculture.com. This includes editing articles to align with Successful Farming's style and tone, following best practices to optimize for Google Discover, and adding multimedia such as interactive graphs, charts, and images.

15% - Traveling to cover industry news events, including new product launches.

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements Education:

Bachelor's degree in journalism, ag communications, or similar fields.

Experience:

Writing background is required. Experience with social media and using a content management system is preferred.
