Kentucky Event Company
We are expanding and are looking for a creative individual to join our team as a full-time event producer. This role will serve both companies; Kentucky Event Company and our sister brand, My Wedding Planner.
Kentucky Event Company works with corporate, social, and non-profit clients to create events of all type. Ranging from conferences to trade shows, fundraisers to festivals, internal meetings, sales events, presidents clubs and incentives trips, and so much more. Our events typically see between 20-20,000 and span across the U.S. in a variety of venues and locations. My Wedding Planner focuses on weddings and wedding related events across Kentucky and beyond. Our weddings typically see 50-350 people and are primarily in the Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Tennessee markets – but our team will travel outside of those areas when a client requests.
We are seeking an individual to join our team as an Event Producer. This is a hybrid role – remote work role for the “work day”, with on‑site work required for events. This position can be held by anyone living within the continental United States, preference will be given to individuals living in Kentucky, with second preference given to individuals living in Ohio, Indiana, and Tennessee.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative work including, but not limited to; time tracking, client communications, internal communications, etc.
Pre‑planning support including, but not limited to; pulling quotes for venues/vendors, reviewing & negotiating contracts, creating, maintaining, and tracking event budgets, creating and maintaining event documents (such as timelines, site maps, etc.) and other pre‑event planning needs.
Some event design work (vision boards, color schemes, and other design needs working with our design manager)
On‑site management + coordination work including, but not limited to; set up, strike, real‑time logistics management, vendor management, staffing management, and other on‑site needs as they arise.
Our event producers oversee every aspect of the event, depending on the scope of work with the client. From pre‑planning all the way to load out, we are very hands on when working with our clients.
SCHEDULE Our “office hours” are Monday‑Friday 9a‑5p EST, unless otherwise discussed. We typically meet as a team and with clients during this timeframe. All office work is done remotely and we meet using a number of virtual and project management tools. On occasion, there are meetings after 5:00 PM on weeknights to accommodate a client or a vendors schedule. These are discussed and planned in advance.
Event work is done in‑person and on‑site, and is scheduled event‑to‑event as each event need is different. Team members are given this schedule well in advance. Our team is on site from load in to load out but not all team members are on site the whole time.
This position averages 40‑50 hours a week. Travel requirements will vary depending on what state the candidate resides in. Must have evening and weekend availability as the majority of our events happen in the evenings and/or on weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS Required
3‑5+ years of experience planning, managing, and operating events.
Excellent time management + organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.

COMPENSATION: This is a full‑time salary position, with an expected salary range of $60,000‑$70,000 annually.
BENEFITS:
Flexible workspace —
you can work from anywhere you’d like as long as it is a professional background/space while on camera with a client.
(Must be living within the continental United States).
Office Supplies — any supplies or software needed will be provided by the company.
Unlimited PTO — we offer an unlimited PTO plan, allowing you to take the time when you need it. This PTO must be registered with the company at least 14 days in advance and cannot coincide or overlap with a previously scheduled event (unless otherwise approved).
Medical Insurance Coverage — we offer access to medical insurance coverage. The company covers 50% of the plan premium for the first year of employment, starting after 60 days of employment. We cover 75% of the plan premium in year two, and 100% of the plan premium in year three and on.
Dependents and spouses can be added to your medical plan, this is 100% paid for by the individual. After 6 years of employment, the company will cover 50% of your dependent’s insurance premium.
Childcare Assistance
— We participate in the ECCAP program which covers up to two thirds of the cost of childcare. With this, the company would cover one third, and the State of Kentucky would match that third, leaving you to only cover the final third. (EX: Your monthly bill is $1200, we cover $400, and the State matches $400, so you only pay $400 out of pocket). This is a reimbursement fund, and currently is only offered for employees living in the state of Kentucky.
Continuing Education
— we are always looking for opportunities to grow as a company and as individuals. As such, we have funds in place to cover the costs associated with continuing education opportunities. If you have an opportunity you’d like to explore (EX: certifications, new degrees, etc.) please let us know. These opportunities are covered in full, so long as the employee completes the opportunity in full.
Reviews — performance reviews are done after the first 90‑days of employment, and then again at the end of each year of employment (the date varies based on your start date). Annual reviews will be used to track success, and also used as a tool to assess pay raises.
In addition, our offices are closed during the following periods:
The week of July 4th
The week of Thanksgiving
The week of Christmas
The week of New Years Eve
Time off will be given for all other religious holidays observed, that are not listed above.
START: Interviews will be conducted in December with an estimated start date of January 5th, 2026. Start date is flexible based on availability.
