Craft CMS Web Developer – Birmingham, AL NaphCare has an excellent opportunity for a Craft CMS Web Developer to join our Corporate Office in Birmingham, AL.

The Craft CMS Web Developer builds and maintains websites using the Craft CMS platform, translating designs into responsive and functional sites.

Responsibilities

Build custom templates and front-end experiences using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Twig templating language

Develop and customize back-end development with PHP

Installing and configuring plugins, performing updates, and ensuring site security and performance

Manage code repository

Craft CMS updates

Website plugin management

Manage production site

Manage live site

Maintain/update the website’s Accessibility features

Update current pages as needed

Ability to build now modules and update existing modules

Create new pages

Create new landing pages

Provide guidance on website design best practices including

UX

Maintain an acceptable site speed

Mobile responsiveness

Technical SEO

Maintain site security

Manage hosting and domains

Integrate and customizing Google APIs, social media channels, etc.

Qualifications

Must have strong skills in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in the Craft CMS platform including installation, configuration, and upgrades

Expertise using Git for version control and Twig for templating language

Basic knowledge of databases is required

Experience with DevOps principles, including cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization (Docker), is necessary

Understanding of content modeling and how it translates to CMS implementations is valuable

Must have the ability to effectively communicate with employees and other departments

Excellent skills in the areas of organization, time management and an ability to manage multiple tasks are necessary

Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all corporate policies, procedures, and legal requirements

Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
