About the Role

We are hiring a Part‑Time Food Photographer who lives and breathes visual storytelling. Your mission? Capture stunning food images, ambiance shots, and short‑form content that elevates our brand and enhances the visual identity of restaurants across our platform.

You’ll visit restaurant partners on‑site, collaborate with chefs and managers, and create high‑quality images and clips that can be used across menus, social media, ads, and marketing campaigns. From plating to lighting, from angles to editing—your creativity brings every dish to life.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality food, beverage, dessert, and product photography.
• Style and arrange dishes to highlight freshness, texture, and presentation.
• Shoot multi-angle visuals for menus, websites, ads, and social media campaigns.
• Visit restaurant locations in San Jose for scheduled shoots (1–3 times weekly).
• Photograph ambiance, guest experiences, and interior setups as needed.
• Coordinate with chefs, store managers, and the marketing team for shot planning.
• Edit and retouch photos to meet brand standards and deliver consistent visuals.
• Ensure optimized outputs across channels (print, digital, social).
• Recommend creative ideas, shot lists, prop setups, and lighting approaches.
• Stay updated with modern food photography styles and trends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food photography (portfolio required).
• Strong understanding of composition, lighting, color, and styling.
• Hands‑on experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras and lighting setups.
• Proficiency in editing tools such as Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar.
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and meet deadlines.

Bonus

• Experience with short‑form video content (Reels, TikTok, social clips).
• Understanding of social media aesthetics and trends.
• Basic graphic design skills.
