We have an immediate opening for a mid-to-senior-level museum exhibition graphic designer, ideal for an established professional with 3–5 years of solid experience in a collaborative design environment.
Responsibilities
Mentor less-experienced museum exhibition graphic designers.
Push the boundaries of museum exhibition graphic design excellence for this client type.
Communicate verbally and in writing, including directly with clients.
Apply advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Maintain a positive attitude and accept criticism well.
Act self‑motivated and independently think with strong communication skills.
Organize and follow up on long and short‑term projects.
Be flexible to work independently and as a team player when necessary.
Adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
Collaborate and coordinate work with the team, including other graphic designers, 3D designers, content team, media team, and outside consultants.
Liaise with exhibit fabricator, project architect, and client.
Assist in planning project timelines.
Knowledge of HTML, After Effects, SketchUp, and 3D software is a plus but not required.
Experience reading architectural drawings is a plus but we can teach you.
Requirements
Excellent design skills, including typography, imagery, color, and grid usage.
3–5 years of experience in graphic design, with an emphasis on exhibitions.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Well‑organized with a detail‑oriented, can‑do attitude.
Comfortable working as part of a team and leading junior designers.
Articulate and poised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience communicating and collaborating with other creatives, architects, and fabricators, and sending artwork for pre‑production and production.
Understanding of physical design materials.
