Context & Mission Doctors Without Borders is an independent international medical and humanitarian organization that provides care to people in need, to people affected by natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and without regard to race, religion, beliefs or political affiliation (MSF Charter).

Under the supervision of the Marketing Coordinator, the Relationship Marketing Project Manager will be primarily responsible for donor loyalty campaigns targeting standard one-off donors and middle-income donors. They will collaborate closely with team members to design and deploy multi-channel campaigns (print, digital) and ensure rigorous monitoring of results, budgets, and performance.

The missions may evolve according to strategic priorities and the needs of the organization and will, if necessary, be redefined each year during annual reviews.

The marketing team is part of the "Public Fundraising" unit, one of seven units within the Communications and Fundraising Department of Doctors Without Borders Switzerland. The marketing team works in collaboration with the Donor Care, Middle Donor, and Legacy units to ensure consistent communication with MSF donors.

The marketing team also works in synergy with other teams in the Communication and Fundraising department to carry out cross‑functional projects.

Main Responsibilities

Strategy and implementation of relationship marketing campaigns

Develop annual multi‑channel strategies and budgets for projects within the scope of the position

Design the action plan and coordinate print campaigns to retain one‑off standard and middle donors, managing:

Proposing content and writing texts

The layout with a graphic designer

Translations with translators

Coordination of production with the Production Manager

Internal validations

In collaboration with the digital team, develop digital tools to complement print campaigns

Propose and test innovative ideas to improve campaign performance

Ensure consistency of donor journeys and touchpoints in the CRM (Customer Insight)

Strategy and implementation of secondary donor pathways

Define the annual strategy for secondary donor pathways

Design the action plan and coordinate print and digital touchpoints for donor retention for one‑off standard and middle donors, by:

Proposing content and writing texts

Coordinating the layout by a graphic designer for printed touchpoints

Coordinating the deployment in Customer Insight by the digital team

Coordinating the translations

Managing internal approvals

Ensure the consistency of secondary donor journeys in the CRM (Customer Insight)

Analysis and monitoring of results

Work with data analysts to evaluate the performance and profitability of multi‑channel actions and campaigns

Ensure rigorous monitoring of budgets and produce strategic recommendations based on results

Participation in strategic thinking

Contribute to the development of the annual budget strategy for the marketing unit

Participate in discussions on improving fundraising tools and multi‑channel initiatives

Conduct strategic monitoring of market trends, the activities of other MSF sections and sector innovations

Collaboration interservice et support

Collaborating with the digital team to ensure alignment of online tools with loyalty campaigns

Working in coordination with the Donor Care unit to ensure consistent communication with donors

Supporting the donor relations department with requests arising from relationship marketing campaigns

Actively participate in team meetings, cross‑functional projects and strategic initiatives

To take charge of specific projects assigned by the manager or the department director

Participate in annual strategic discussions regarding the budget and the development of fundraising tools

Actively participates in team and department meetings

Travel to visit service providers & maintain strategic monitoring of market trends and the activities of other MSF & NGO sections in Switzerland in order to propose innovative and competitive solutions

Manage any other projects or tasks assigned by the manager or director of the administrative department

Qualifications Education University degree or equivalent training in Marketing, fundraising, or equivalent qualification.

Experience Essential: Minimum 3 years in a similar position, ideally in the field of relationship marketing and fundraising

Technical Skills

In‑depth knowledge of the basic principles of multi‑channel fundraising (print, digital)

Experience in managing multi‑channel campaigns

Excellent writing skills

In‑depth knowledge of the graphic chain

In‑depth knowledge of CRM tools

Proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital environments

LANGUAGES

Essential: French

Desired: English German

Working conditions

Full‑time position, 90% (36 hours/week)

Fixed‑term contract of 3 months

Workplace: Geneva

Ideal start date: December 8, 2025

Gross monthly salary (at 90%): from CHF 6,552.9.- to CHF 7,545.6.- (salary based on equivalent experience and internal salary scale)

Paid vacation: 25 days per year, pro rata temporis, plus Swiss public holidays falling during the term of the contract

Pension fund: contribution to the pension fund (2nd pillar‑LPP) covered at a rate of 3/4 by MSF and 1/4 by the employee

Relocation assistance in the event of moving from another country to Switzerland
