Clinical Assistant Professor of Instruction in Audiology – Communication Sciences and Disorders (Finance) The University of South Florida (USF) Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is seeking a 12‑month Clinical Assistant Professor of Instruction in Audiology. The successful candidate will provide clinical instruction and supervision to Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) students in a university‑based, billing clinic, develop and teach graduate‑level coursework in Audiology, and serve the university and the community through faculty governance and outreach. The position opens in August 2026, requires Florida licensure (or an application for licensure) before the start date, and offers a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Minimum Qualifications Clinical Doctorate degree (Au.D.) or Ph.D. in Audiology/related field Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC‑A) Eligibility for Florida State License in Audiology (Florida Dept. of Health) Meet university criteria for appointment as Assistant Professor of Instruction Preferred Qualifications Minimum of five years of professional audiology experience At least three years supervising or precepting Au.D. students in clinical settings Clinical expertise in one or more of the following areas: Hearing aid selection, fitting, and troubleshooting Assistive listening device selection, fitting, and troubleshooting Comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations Hearing conservation Electrophysiological assessments Experience teaching in a Doctor of Audiology program at an accredited university Eligible for Medicare and Medicaid provider numbers and Early Steps provider status Familiarity with hearing aid reimbursement procedures and billing practices Fluency in both English and Spanish Application Requirements Cover Letter Curriculum Vitae (CV) Compliance and Federal Notices This position may be subject to a Level 1 or Level 2 criminal background check.
