As a member of the Technology and Product Management Team, you will join a tightly knit and high‑performing group of industry veterans shepherding complex and highly integrated products to market.
As a Product Owner, Intelligent Video at Crestron, you will drive the development of industry‑leading collaboration and conferencing solutions including speaker tracking and multi‑camera experiences with a specific focus on the platforms and software tools that bring these products together. You will lead the evolution of products and solutions from ideation through launch in a dynamic, creative, and fast‑paced environment. Your responsibilities will include product and feature planning, writing and implementing product requirements, championing the product through the development cycle, collaborating with sales and marketing teams during new product and feature rollouts, and engaging with technical support teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Define and groom the feature backlog to ensure development aligns with strategic goals and prioritizes value for customers.
- Write detailed user stories and requirements for new features and products.
- Lead agile teams, including engineering teams and partners, through the development process to realize the product roadmap.
- Work with the quality engineering team to define acceptance criteria and refine test plans.
- Coordinate resolution of technical issues escalated to engineering and monitor customer support trends to maintain a high‑quality product, leading debugging and triage efforts.
- Collaborate closely with peers to ensure cohesion across products and refine ideas and plans.
- Work with departments including marketing, sales, training, and support to ensure product success and serve as a product and subject matter expert across the organization.
- Keep abreast of the competitive landscape and technology trends, identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and help craft the product roadmap.
- Present software, hardware, and integrated solutions virtually or in‑person as required, and participate in industry tradeshows and key market events.
- Lead and collaborate with other teams to ensure development, testing labs, and demo spaces are up to date, organized, and configured properly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
- 3–5 years in a technical role (product engineering, product management, technical sales, support, etc.) in AV/UC or a related technology field.
- 3+ years working with integrated hardware and software solutions.
- Experience with product management, Scrum, or other Agile methodologies preferred.
- Self‑starter with proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply that knowledge to highly visible real‑world projects.
- Proficiency with unified communications platforms from providers such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and Cisco WebEx, including both software and hardware UC solutions.
- Proficiency with networking technologies, streaming video protocols (H.264, AV1, NDI, etc.), video processing, switching tools (Wirecast, OBS, etc.), and distributed video technologies.
- Proficiency with machine learning and computer vision technologies, AI models, and integration into live video pipelines.
- Proficiency with PTZ and ePTZ camera technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to lead team meetings, set expectations, and hold people accountable for delivering the expected product.
- Team player with visible company spirit and demonstrable ability to quickly gain the trust of key stakeholders, end‑users, and co‑workers.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual pay range: $84,500 – $136,500 (base salary, subject to performance). The offer may vary from this range based on location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.
