Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is seeking a junior associate to join our thriving communications practice, which has been recognized as "Law Firm of the Year" in Communications Law by Best Lawyers & U.S. News. The position is focused on representing telecommunications, cable, wireless and other service providers before the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), the Federal Communications Commission, and related litigation and transactional matters.

Responsibilities
- Represent telecommunications, cable, wireless, and other service providers before the CPUC, FCC, and other state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Handle related litigation and transactional matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements.
- Research regulatory policies, prepare memoranda, and assist senior counsel in strategy and case preparation.
- Provide support to clients in navigating complex communications law issues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience at the CPUC or at least one year of law firm experience representing clients before the CPUC or another state or federal agency.
- Strong writing and research skills.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- California bar admission is highly preferred; out‑of‑state candidates who commit to joining the California bar after joining the firm will be considered.
- Ability to work based in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Culver City offices.

Salary & Benefits
The annualized salary range for this position in San Francisco or Los Angeles is $205,000 to $225,000. Full‑time employees may be eligible for a bonus and health insurance with an optional HSA, long‑term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 10 paid holidays each year, and an employee assistance program. The initial sick leave benefit is 80 hours per year. Attorneys generally take approximately three weeks of vacation from work each year. Additional voluntary benefits programs include accident insurance, life, disability, long‑term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs are also available.
