Nesco Resource, a national staffing company has partnered with a leading manufacturer in order to identify a Solid Edge Designer.
Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Solid Edge Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using Solid Edge CAD software. This role plays a critical part in supporting product development and ensuring designs meet performance, quality, and manufacturability standards.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
Experience: 3-5 years in design engineering or drafting roles. Experience in manufacturing with a background in fabrication and CNC environments.
Software Skills: Proficiency in Solid Edge; familiarity with other CAD tools (SolidWorks, NX, Catia) is a plus.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes. Understanding of the basics of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing assemblies, advanced knowledge of these topics is a plus.
Other Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
Proficient in MRP and MS Office software suite
Knowledge of Visual ERP system is a plus
Strong organizational skills
Good administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to work as an individual contributor and a team player.
Reliable, good work ethic, and high integrity.
Tasks / Responsibilities
Develop and refine 3D models and assemblies using Solid Edge.
Create detailed technical drawings, design specifications, and documentation.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility.
Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback.
Generate and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM).
