Creative Partnerships Lead & Event Designer Sales | Business Development | Event Design The Role The Creative Partnerships Lead & Event Designer is part artist, part closer… a creative go-getter who brings in new opportunities, designs unforgettable events, and keeps Got Light’s Signature Style front and center. You’ll chase leads, pitch ideas, and build lasting partnerships while turning client visions into unique and innovative experiences. This role bridges sales, design, and production. You’ll own and grow a $2M annual book of business through creativity, follow-through, and relentless drive. Responsibilities Client | Event Design & Corporate A/V Manage and convert incoming inquiries and proposals with quick, 5-star customer service turnaround. Design and sell lighting, corporate A/V, drape, and decor solutions that bring each client’s vision to life. Maintain and grow a $2M annual revenue portfolio through repeat and new business. Create proposals, quotes, and contracts; guide clients through the design and revision process. Partner with Production & Design teams to ensure creative intent is realized onsite. Attend site visits, walkthroughs, and client meetings as needed. Business Development & Partnerships Build and strengthen relationships with venues, planners, producers, and industry partners. Proactively pursue new opportunities across galas, fundraisers, and corporate events. Represent Got Light at mixers, tradeshows, and industry events. Identify and pursue new business streams, venue partnerships, and creative collaborations. Collaborate with the Marketing team on outreach and visuals that drive new leads. Oversee Got Light’s exclusive venue, The Pearl, leading clear communication with venue staff, co-vendors, Event Designers, and Producers, and keeping budgets and strategic initiatives on track. Team & Sales Reporting Partner with the Director of Events to track sales goals, pipeline metrics, and weekly lead activity. Report on new business development, client outreach, and relationship growth each week. Help shape the Sales “pulse”: sharing wins, trends, and opportunities with the team. What You Bring 5–7 years of experience in event sales, design, production, or management. Familiarity with the San Francisco Bay Area market, venues, and event community a plus! Working knowledge of lighting, audio, video, and general event production. Comfortable with Apple products, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Highly organized, detail-driven, and naturally collaborative. Passion for creative design, problem-solving, and seeing events through from concept to completion. Schedule Full-time, exempt position (approx. 40 hours/week) with a Monday–Friday office | WFH schedule. Flexibility required for evenings and weekends during event season or for client and site meetings. Compensation Total Compensation: $90,000–$130,000 annually (base + commission). 15 days PTO per year plus paid holidays. Medical, dental, vision, and chiropractic coverage.
