About the Role As a
Principal Designer , you’ll be a key player in our in‑house studio, bringing our brands (Via, Citymapper, Remix) and products to life through bold designs that touch people’s hearts & minds. This is a unique opportunity to bring fresh thinking to a business with a strong reputation. Under the direction of a new Global Creative Director, you’ll design the future of transportation and take the brand to the next level.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver 360° campaigns across audiences: riders, commercial partners, investors, and internal teams.
Typical projects include product launches, events packages, promotional campaigns, investor presentations, video storyboards, web pages and components, brand packages for new transit services, social media templates, and editorial design for whitepapers.
Develop thoughtful creative strategy that meets the brief and deliver work that has an impact.
Understand the impact of your work and refine based on in‑market performance.
Bring a systems approach to your work—design for scale.
Qualifications
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in designing and delivering top‑quality designs.
Proven ability to lead and deliver high‑stakes, multi‑touchpoint programs.
Brand expertise: create a brand from scratch or inject new flavor into an existing brand.
Interactive: design responsive landing pages and components.
Business impact: measure results and drive tangible impact.
Mentor: role model for more junior team members.
Team player: collaborate with designers and cross‑disciplinary teams.
Growth mindset: take feedback on board and push beyond comfort zone.
Communication: present to C‑level and advocate for design excellence.
Organized, detail‑oriented, and adaptable to multiple priorities.
Expertise in Figma (libraries, components, auto‑layout), Adobe suite, and AI generative tools.
Animation is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Final salary determined by candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills.
Salary Range: $120,000 – $150,000 per year.
Benefits package includes free medical plans and 401K matching.
