MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the Marketing & Events Support Specialist is to ensure that all marketing and event projects are effectively executed by managing the project flow from start to finish, developing creative content, and implementing project deliverables.

KEY RESULT AREAS

Project Management & Leadership:

Plans, organizes, and manages all marketing and event projects -- building timelines in Asana, coordinating teams and meetings, and ensuring projects are completed on time and with excellence. It also supports overall Marketing, Events, and Development efforts by streamlining requests, surfacing stuck tasks, and driving collaboration.

Marketing & Event Processes and Organization:

This role improves and manages systems for project documentation, budgeting, vendors, and payments while preparing and distributing marketing and event materials. It ensures smooth processes, accurate tracking, and timely support for regional needs.

Media Relations & Copywriting:

This role supports media relations by drafting press releases, talking points, and PR content, while also providing copywriting for a wide range of marketing campaigns across print, digital, and social platforms.

Marketing Analytics:

This role tracks analytics across marketing activities, including but not limited to social media, web, mass email, TV, and other community marketing and advertising.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's in Marketing or related field preferred, or equivalent experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nonprofit digital marketing experience preferred

Experience in Canva, Adobe, and/or Photoshop required

Proven creative and critical thinking (problem-solving) skills that leverage both quantitative data analytics and qualitative design and tools

Proven ability to self-start, work independently, and lead projects and people, and proven ability to build and deliver impactful, visual presentations

Proven ability to set and meet deadlines

Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment across multiple departments. Organized and can handle multiple projects concurrently.

Must be flexible, showing meticulous attention to detail

Demonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate across regions at all levels within the organization

Additional Requirements: the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and move objects up to 50 pounds, and possess dexterity for tasks like typing. Common duties that necessitate physical activity are event setup and breakdown, managing equipment, and navigating various work environments, including stairs or varying weather conditions.

Additional Requirements: Approximately 10-15% Travel each year. This position requires flexibility to travel, including nights and weekends if needed. Must possess a valid Driver’s License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
