Community Manager – Affordable

Position Summary The Community Manager will oversee all business operations in a community, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations. Key responsibilities include resident relations, staff leadership, budgeting, reporting, and marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities
Supervise leasing and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with company policy
Analyze performance and trends to develop and implement monthly marketing plans
Train, motivate and supervise on‑site staff to achieve operational goals; conduct new employee orientation and ongoing performance evaluations
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain the highest standards of resident service
Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence to approved budgets
Complete month‑end and year‑end reporting; provide narratives of all monthly budget variances +/- 10% per line item
Ensure property operations comply with all relevant regulatory requirements
Education and Experience
Three‑plus years of multi‑family property management experience
Preferred two or more years in affordable housing
Experience with programs such as PFC, AMI, Income Restricted, Senior 55+/62+
Familiarity with Onesite software a plus
Strong leadership and management skills
Current, valid driver’s license
Qualifications and Physical Requirements
May need to sit for extended periods and climb stairs
Must be able to read documents, operate a computer and handle files up to 20 pounds
Must communicate effectively in person over the phone and via computer
