Job Description We are seeking a creative and experienced Senior Concept Designer to join our Hollister team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating trend research, analysis, and forecasting documents to inspire and instruct the Men’s design team in collaboration with the Hollister Concept Team. The Senior Concept Designer will work closely with our Merchandising, Design, and Global teams to ensure the creative direction aligns with the brand's vision and business objectives. This person has a collaborative, all hands-on deck approach, and is dedicated to translating trends through the lens of the customer and brand filter.
This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.
What Will You Be Doing? Concept Responsibilities
Collaborate with Design and Merchandising counterparts on key business strategies with measurable insight, data, and reporting.
Research volume‑driving trends that will positively impact the bottom line and enhance design integrity for Hollister. Track the genealogy of top performers to inform inspiration for future seasons.
Deliver brand direction and powerful storytelling for Hollister each season through a Concept Kickoff presentation.
Conduct research for trend direction through shopping trips and customer immersion events.
Keep a constant pulse on trends and the Hollister customer, primarily through social media research.
Create trend reports approximately every two weeks from shopping trips, customer immersion events, social media, and runway with new product ideas and white space opportunities. Present findings to leadership on a consistent basis.
Support the investigation of category‑specific research for detailed analysis on areas of concern.
Seek out global trends and under‑the‑radar cultural influences that will impact consumer behavior.
Collaborate with international teams to support key regional strategies.
What Do You Need To Bring?
5+ years of trend forecasting experience, or related experience.
Proficiency in design software such as InDesign.
Excellent research skills with a finger on the pulse of emerging trends from runway, apparel brands, street style, and social media.
Passion for following trends on social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest.
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment, with the ability to juggle multiple seasons at one time and track development deadlines with a positive attitude.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team of diverse business partners.
Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
Energetic, positive, creative problem solving with a solution‑based outlook.
