Position Overview As a Die Designer, you’ll play a vital role in designing extrusion dies and gauges for inspecting parts for producing high‑strength structural components used in aerospace applications worldwide. This is a hands‑on opportunity to contribute to a mission that literally helps the world take flight.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Pay:

$23.86/hour starting

8:00 AM ‑ 5:00 PM

1st Shift

Responsibilities

Exercise and promote safety

Receive pre‑sale quote request and customer prints from Sales department

Review all customer prints and requirements for producibility

Enter all required information into the UAC Engineering System

Produce, mill, master and first article prints for production

Design secondary tooling gauges, stretcher and rework tooling

Maintain inventory of tooling

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED; engineering degree a plus

Minimum Experience: 1 year of CAD/Drafting and/or 1‑year machine shop experience; SolidWorks experience preferred with knowledge of machine and tool capability; FEA analysis a plus

Certifications Required: SolidWorks certificate of training a plus

Physically able to stand, bend, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

Safety Commitment All UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety trainings, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries. Employees must understand the PPE and wear it properly.
