Senior UX Designer (Fintech Experience Required)
Duration: 12+ months W2 contract
Location: Hybrid - Charlotte, NC | Boston, MA | NYC, NY
Design, optimize and deliver useful and elegant best‑in‑class digital experiences working from a multidisciplinary, holistic perspective from concept to execution and implementation – applying a broad range of product design capabilities across user experience and visual design to craft complete product and experience solutions.
Responsibilities
Partner with a diverse set of project stakeholders and cross‑functional teams – including product management and engineering. Build influence and partnerships with stakeholders outside of ongoing project work.
Collaborate with researchers, technologists, designers and delivery managers across the team.
Develop and deliver advanced experience design deliverables across the discovery and delivery design workflow with limited oversight, including information architectures, user flows, wireframes, high‑fidelity designs, compositions, design specifications, redlines and prototypes. Deliver exemplary solutions leveraging internal and external best practices and methods.
Design digital experiences across web, mobile web, and native apps (iOS and Android).
Support and leverage evaluative testing across the customer journey, from rapid user testing to usability studies.
Evaluate and benchmark existing product and service experiences.
Participate actively in design critique and be available as a mentor and resource to other designers.
Work on multiple complex designs/projects, managing time and expectations with stakeholders across the organization and XD, staying knowledgeable on project and product details. Drive timely, quality delivery by managing multiple projects and actively providing status updates to XD and partner management.
Respect standards, reflect our design system patterns in work and champion best practices while also helping us set visions for innovative digital and technology experiences.
Use excellent visual, communication and storytelling skills. Demonstrate thought leadership by challenging the status‑quo, presenting independently and navigating questions, conceiving, pitching, executing creative ideas, patterns and standards.
Required Skills
5+ years of industry design experience operating as an end‑to‑end multidisciplinary product designer, with strong capabilities across a range of design disciplines with a portfolio of designs that you’re proud of.
Extensive experience designing multi‑channel consumer‑facing apps, responsive web and websites including complex system, user, e‑commerce and transactional experiences.
Expert understanding of user‑centered design principles and best practices and rapid ideation processes like Lean UX, Design Sprints, and Agile.
A track record for working with cross‑functional product development and design teams to ship customer‑facing digital products.
Ability to design with a design system and within brand guidelines.
Experience defining and utilizing quantitative and qualitative data to inform and inspire design.
Highly proficient with Figma, InVision and Sketch.
Financial services experience a plus.
