Manager, Instructional Design and Training Content Development This role is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of engaging training content that drives employee growth, supports organizational transformation, and strengthens performance across the business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Designs, develops, and delivers high‑quality learning solutions, including eLearning modules, videos, simulations, instructor‑led materials, job aids, and blending learning programs.

Owns end‑to‑end project delivery, from needs analysis and learning objectives through content design, development, implementation, and evaluation.

Partners with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning needs, clarify objectives, and transform complex information into engaging, accessible, and results‑oriented training.

Applies instructional design best practices and adult learning principles to ensure training is relevant, practical, and impactful.

Uses advanced authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Creative Suite, and Camtasia to build content that meets high standards of interactivity, design, and usability.

Administers and maintains the Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup, enrollment management, tracking, reporting, and troubleshooting to ensure a seamless learner experience.

Evaluates training effectiveness using the Kirkpatrick Model (or similar frameworks), gathering data and feedback to inform continuous improvement.

Maintains and refreshes existing training content to reflect updated policies, tools, branding, or organizational changes.

Champions accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring all learning materials meet DEI and WCAG standards.

Contributes to the broader Learning and Development (L&D) strategy, advising on curriculum planning, learning pathways, and opportunities to enhance engagement and scalability.

Contributes to a positive team dynamic through respectful interactions, positive contributions, and active collaboration to achieve department and organizational goals.

Incorporates AAA’s vision, mission and values in day‑to‑day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to AAA’s vision, mission and values.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

4+ years of experience in instructional design, training content development, or corporate learning, including developing digital and instructor‑led learning solutions from concept to launch.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in corporate learning environments, particularly within organizations undergoing transformation or rapid growth.

Familiarity with data‑driven evaluation and continuous improvement methods in learning.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Advanced proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360 suite), video/audio editing tools (Camtasia, Adobe Premiere), and graphic design software (Photoshop, Illustrator).

Deep understanding of instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM), and adult learning theory.

Familiarity with LMS administration, SCORM/xAPI standards, and learning technology ecosystems.

Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.

Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.

High attention to detail and commitment to delivering polished, effective, and learner‑centered materials.

Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.

SALARY Hiring Range: $98,634 – $113,424

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical environment is typical of a standard office space. It requires the employee to work inside for the duration of work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, sitting for more than 50% of the time. This position will require occasionally moving about inside the office to access equipment, cabinets, etc. May work around office equipment which could be noisy, such as copiers and fax machines.
