This position will be located at Regent University’s Virginia Beach, VA campus. Overview Journalism, news, and the search for the Truth are at the heart of Regent University. The Department of Journalism and Communication Studies features doctoral, masters, and undergraduate degree programs, including a new BA in Journalism. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate journalism courses. Coordinate with programs across the university and in the community. Lead academic and co‑curricular initiatives, including student news outlets as the program grows into a next‑generation incubator for real‑world training and cutting‑edge investigative reporting. Qualifications Maximal terminal degree in an appropriate field. Significant research and professional portfolio. Evidence of successful undergraduate teaching. Clear and compelling Christian commitment. Expectations A dedication to Christ‑centered teaching and learning. A record of or potential for academic scholarship. The ability to teach undergraduate‑level courses. Familiarity with online instructional technology. A willingness to embrace the College and University Identity and Mission statements and subscribe to a statement of Christian faith.
