Huntington Beach City School District is inviting applications for a music teaching position in the Huntington Beach Elementary Schools. All applications must be submitted through the EdJoin platform. Application Requirements Single Subject Credential – Music (provide a full‑screen screenshot from the California Teacher Credentialing website; no certificates required) EL Authorization (full‑screen screenshot from the California Teacher Credentialing website; no certificates required) Cover Letter Resume Two (2) Current letters of recommendation (must be dated within the last 24 months and bear a written signature) OR list two (2) professional references on the EdJoin application Proof of Basic Skills Requirement All required documentation must be uploaded electronically with your EdJoin application. Paper, emailed, mailed, or faxed copies will not be accepted. Once all documents are submitted, your application will undergo paper screening and, if eligible, will be considered for an interview. Salary placement is determined based on your educational credentials and verified public school teaching experience. Up to seven (7) years of prior public school experience may be credited toward your placement on the salary schedule. Substitute teaching experience is not accepted for salary placement purposes. To receive one year of credit, you must have worked at least 75 % of the fiscal year in a qualifying position.
