Our website, MotherJones.com, has seen record increases in traffic over the past several years. We are now beginning a multiyear project to improve, update, and expand our operations, looking at everything from our technology stack to our site design. As a web developer, you will play a key role in helping us build a new and more powerful platform for hard‑hitting investigative news. You will be joining a small team of developers working in the heart of the newsroom. We have a strong preference for open‑source solutions to problems, and like to work in a relatively agile manner, with brief daily meetings and weekly code pushes. Online news is a rapidly evolving field, and the job will offer many opportunities for learning new skills. This is a full‑time position, working in our downtown San Francisco office, two blocks from the Montgomery Street BART/Muni station.
