ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM

The Knot Worldwide is seeking a Senior Manager, Consumer Creative to lead day‑to‑day creative for The Knot, our flagship U.S. consumer brand. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Consumer Creative, you’ll oversee a team of designers and copywriters, shaping how the brand comes to life across paid and organic channels, CRM, and experiential moments. You’ll bring strong creative instincts, thoughtful systems thinking, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. This role sits at the intersection of craft and strategy; you’ll partner with Marketing, Social, Product, and Editorial peers to create cohesive, emotionally resonant storytelling that deepens brand love and drives measurable engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creative Leadership
Lead the design and copy team for The Knot, ensuring work is visually elevated, on‑brand, and strategically sound.
Provide clear, actionable feedback and foster a supportive, growth‑oriented creative culture.
Partner closely with the Sr. Creative Director to translate brand strategy into compelling creative expressions.
Champion The Knot’s visual identity and tone of voice—maintaining consistency while evolving for cultural and platform relevance.
Identify opportunities to bring in external creative partners (agencies, freelancers, or production specialists) when capacity, craft, or perspective gaps exist. Lead onboarding, briefing, and quality oversight for those partners to ensure seamless integration with internal teams.
Collaborate with Production and Ops partners to manage timelines, briefs, and deliverables.
Acts as a culture carrier, supporting initiatives that improve visibility, feedback loops, and professional development for creatives.
  • Strategy & Collaboration
Serve as a key creative partner to cross‑functional teams, contributing to campaign and channel strategy.
Advocate for creative excellence and help articulate the “why” behind design and copy decisions in cross‑functional discussions.
Leverage data and insights to inform creative decisions and measure impact.
Participate in concept development and creative reviews for campaigns, product launches, and social initiatives.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve creative systems, processes, and tools that help the team work smarter.
  • Executional Excellence
Roll up your sleeves when needed—contributing to design, copy, and concepting alongside your team.
Experiment with emerging creative tools (AI, automation, templates) to enhance efficiency and unlock new forms of storytelling.
Ensure every deliverable meets brand standards for storytelling, inclusivity, and craft.
Stay ahead of creative, cultural, and social trends, bringing new ideas that keep The Knot fresh and relevant.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE

  • 7–10 years of creative experience in design, copy, or art direction, ideally within lifestyle, consumer tech, or brand‑driven organizations.
  • Proven ability to lead creative across channels—especially social, paid, and digital marketing.
  • Exceptional taste, storytelling instincts, and understanding of brand systems.
  • A collaborative leader who provides clarity and motivates through empathy and example.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to present and defend ideas confidently.
  • Resourceful, organized, and proactive—anticipating needs before they become blockers.
  • Contributes to a positive, inclusive team culture that celebrates creativity, collaboration, and recognition of great work.
